I know this is kinda a random one, but Bartolome de Las Casas. In school were taught mostly about how he advocated against using Native Americans as slaves in colonial america. They tend to leave out the aspect of him saying that they should use Africans instead.

No, it wouldn't. Current trucks still have a drag coefficient of 0.7...0.8, because they are shaped like a brick, supposed to do 80 kph max (although like 99% of them exceed this significantly, ...) and, in many countries, length is restricted. You can either invest length into lower drag or larger capacity, not both. Actually, issuing a law that allows longer vehicles if, and only if and because, they have a drag coefficient that is significantly lower would make some sense. 0.8 is not that great, it's more embarrassing to still accept it ... but, you can only reduce it by making the truck longer ... as length limits are still careless about drag, I don't even want to calculate how much Diesel we could safe ... it's the number of trucks, the large cross section, that make this relevant enough to adress it. Trucks shouldn't be shaped like bricks, more like dildoes.
